Extending a ring main off an existing socket (not used)

Hi Folks,

First post so be gentle.

I'm trying to plan out my new kitchen and think I am going to need some new electrics.

Just wanting to know if this is possible before I go any further into planning where stuff goes.

As the image shows, I would like to have the ring main extended by using an unused double socket. 32A terminal blocks inside the socket box wieth a fac plate on the front to cover it all off.

Why spur off the new wiring?

Put the whole lot on the ring final.

I would use a 4 way grid switch plate with two sockets to extend ring. Both sockets unlike a normal double socket are not connected together when you use a grid switch socket, and one socket takes two ways so plate needs to be 4 way.

i.e Two of these and one of these. it means no switch on sockets but allows you to keep originals.
