Exterior Wall Insulation - Conservation Area

All,
Has anyone got any idea on if exterior wall insulation would be allowed for a house falling under conservation area (article 4 directions imposed) ?
I was wondering if there are some solutions available like matching brick work etc ?

The insulation is immaterial. There are options to clad, render or fit brick slips. Features on the existing walls would normally have to be replicated too.
