Appreciate advice from anyone with experience...
I'm planning to have my existing wood facias and wood cladding (cladding on an end gable) replaced with something low maintenance. I note that gloss black uPVC facias fitted to an extension I have faded really badly (and unevenly) after around 4 or 5 years. I'd like to stick with the black colour even though I can see that white facias aren't so affected by the sun/UV.
I don't wish to be a guinea pig for new materials so is there a low-maintenance, black-coloured alternative material for facias and cladding that has a proven track record of fade resistance? I note that the black-painted wood facia on my garage hasn't faded after around 10 years and that gets direct sun. Thanks.
