Fan heater stopped working - should I try and repair?

We've got a cheap fan heater.
It's blowing cold air.
Should I open up and try and repair?
Or is it a no go area?

We've already got a replacement.
It cost less than £15.

Just wondering.

Check the overheat cutout button, fuse, plug and socket first. For the next step you will need a multimeter. If it needs a new thermostat or switch, where will you buy one to fit?

Go and buy a new one while you think about it.

It's unlikely to be a loose wire inside the fan heater, so if it's any of the components [fan, thermostat, element, switch] then they would probably cost you £15 even if you could get hold of them.

The one shot is if it has a thermal trip somewhere that can be manually reset. The instructions should tell you if that is the case. Otherwise, take it to a recycling centre

The guy was saying the fuse might be gone (as suggested)

Fuse, plug and socket are OK as the fan is going.

if it has diffrent heat settings as in half and full make sure you try both /all positions same with any thermostatic heat level setting
