Favourites

Could anyone tell me why some not all of my shortcuts in the favourites list will no longer work?
This problem has been ongoing for a while now.

When you say 'dont work', what do you mean?, they take you to another place or you get an error message

I would suggest find the site again & remake your favorite. You may have made a favorite of a web page that is no longer valid by the domain.
Post one of your favorite urls that is not working.

I have repeatedly renewed the favourite.
But it does work of the descktop shortcut.

Works for me, how did you save it.
You should go th the link I have just posted, then select, favorites & add.
It will save the url as above, not 'www.smile.co.uk'

after a bit of messing about I find it will work in a folder called favorites but not in a folder called Bank.
Also I have a folder called Cars & some work others dont.

I have many folders for favorites also, even folders within folders.
When you save a favorite, you can select the folder to save it in, you can also change the name of the link that you have just saved.
Glad you are sorted.

If it is in a folder and you pasted it onto a word document to save in the folder, you may have to hold down the Ctrl key when clicking the url link.

Right click on the shortcut and select properties, what URL is listed?

It would be useful to know what the error message actually is.
