I have an issue where I am right opposite a community centre who have people standing pretty much everyday directly opposite smoking and chatting. It’s not their fault, but they’re literally staring into my house all the time. I’d like to be able to walk around in my bare arse if the moment took me. Anyway, I was thinking about getting some fence boards the same width as the current ones and heightening it so that I would have privacy. The only thing is as you can see there is a slight slope. Do I fit the boards straight or go along the same angle as there is present? I’m not replacing the boards, i’m just adding a 2ft cut on top of each board (currently 28). Thanks in advance.

Height restriction may apply. Council planning will tell you as ours is 6 foot out back and 4 foot out front.
If nobody complains you will get away with it though.

I would be tempted to go for plants.
Fences are only supposed to be 6 feet high.
You could buy some hedge type plants, and fit window box style baskets on the highest horizontal rail, or make a shelf to hold them.
Maybe fit some trelliss to the fence and bridge the gate

Thanks here is a picture of 2 of my neighbours which are a good bit larger than 6ft. I looked at a trellis but don’t want the upkeep up a bush and artificial ones look tacky imo
