Fill this gap

Hi all

I am preparing my kitchen floor ready for it to be self levelled, and by the external door I came across this.

What can I fill this gap with? It’s over 10cm deep, and the surface at the bottom is soft, assuming this is soil?

Expanding foam or a bit of cement, expanding foam is probably easier but leave it 10mm below the surface so some self levelling can pop into it.
