Evening all

I'm in the process of renovating our box room, which has got a stud wall which had a cut out for a perspex window to allow light in from adjoining room.

The other side has been papered over, so I want to fill in the hole on this side and make good, before lining and painting.

The hole is approx 80cm x 50cm, and 4cm deep.
I'm planning on glueing/screwing some battens in place, and then fix plasterboard over the top.

With a 40mm depth, I'm currently debating whether to use 9.5mm or 12.5mm board.

Once boarded, plan is to tape the edges, and then use Gyproc Easi fill to make good...

Anything else I need to think of?

Edit: just added a picture for reference...
