Afternoon. So on this rainy Saturday I thought I would get to the jobs I have been putting off :-)

My garage has a pull cord with 2 red wires and an earth which I am presuming are live and switched live.
I wanted to replace it with a PIR as the amount of time I spend in there is minimal and I normally break my neck trying to find the pull cord in the dark!

I have a Clipsal 751 series 2 wire PIR. The wiring diagram is below...
But I am unsure on whether I can wire it with the existing 2 red wire one-way setup?

Any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

You can wire it with the existing wires - BUT

the instructions also state:

It won't work with LED lights. Do you still have an incandescent light?

I use one of these in the garage , lights up when I open the door so I can see the light switch . It’s also a torch and if power fails an emergency light.

Thanks @EFLImpudence So it is an LED light but doesn't use a transformer.
Cheap one I bought off Amazon. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07Y61SJ6Q/

If it will work does it matter on the top diagram which red goes in the Active/Line and which goes in the Load?
If the PIR is unsuitable any suggestions of makes/types of PIR that would work?

Thanks again for your wisdom on the matter.

The instructions don't say that, other than electronic transformers.

For what it's worth I know a building with loads of them including operating single 3.5W mains LED's in the toilets (the initial installations) with no problems. The areas with bigger loads or/and Fluo fitting needed the 3 wire version.
