Fitting fence posts next to stream (Ed.)

I’m looking to get the blown down and badly fitted fence fixed.

The front fence sits on a house brick wall that boarders a stream but the posts don’t go down very far (one fell over and the other is thinking about it). I spoke to one guy who said he’d have to bring the fence forward in front of the wall (but then I’d lose the look of the wall).

The back fence is also not doing well it boarders the stream but it’s not on top of a house brick wall.

How / can this fence been replaced keeping the decorative bit it sits on at the front, and at the back how can these fence posts be fitted properly (and without having supporting bits going off into the land next to it).

Any cost ideas per fence post / section / meter whatever would be appreciated.

The title suggested a Fred Dibnah type problem, then I read it was about a brook. Concrete posts and gravel boards will help retain and maintain the panels upright. The issue is whether a fencer will do it it at all as it is an out of the ordinary job. If you get a quote it will reflect that it is a one off job. You may not have much in the way of comparisons.
