Hi All,
I have got the plans back for an extension, just wondering what everyone thinks. See below existing plans, then option 1 and then option 2.. The idea is to go with a flat roof with roof lights.
Part of the existing kitchen would make a utility for washing / drying etc and keep the main kitchen for the nice things. The question is where to put the downstairs loo. I prefer option 2 with it under the stairs (there is a window there - I don't like a loo without windows), however to get to the utility then I would have to walk all the way through the dining room and round the kitchen. Anyone got any thoughts and tips? Cheers

Presumably you will be spending more time in the dining room and lounge than the utility, so having it under the stairs, accessable, and not backed onto the dining room wall, would be more convenient. Small handbasin in there of course.

Too many doors in the first option, all getting in each others way and eating up your usable utility space.

Yes what he said, the only advantage of option 1 is the bog's closer to the back garden if you're out there in muddy boots or whatever. Or for a slightly bonkers option have a split entry for the bog, ie option 2 but also have an access door off the utility too, with a small sink under the window.
