Hello

We had a a leak in the kitchen. The roof above is a flat roof on the kitchen extension

The best I can work out the problem is on the wall/roof junction. Specifically behind the soil pipe.

There is no leading on the wall/roof junction behind the soil pipe. It looks like the roof felt or asphalt (not sure which) is brought up to the wall and then mortared. See photos.

What is the best way to fix this problem.

Thanks

That's looks really poor. That was always going to leak eventually. The other downspout the lead does not go behind that as well.

Yes no lead behind the soil pipe. Looks like the felt was cemeneted to the wall here

Not sure what the best solution is lead or flashband or maybe some liquid sealer

Hopefully an expert on here can point you in the right direction. Looks like the roofer didnt know how to handle the pipework being so close to the wall and also the swept t being so low to roof. Probably should of changed pipework prior to roof being finished.

That whole SVP joint array would all normally get boxed in with upstands and have its own little roof and dealt with by the roofing material.

Thanks Noseall it didn't occured to me to box it in. That sounds the proper the way

Box it in with plywood, cover it with felt and then a lead flashing on top
