I need to install a flat roof within parapet walls. Going the tapered insulation route, we'll need to move some solar panels from the existing roof onto it.
I need to decide whether the insulation must have boards on top as well as below - building inspector says it must, builders and roofing supply company say no need. Which is the best way to fix the solar panels? I understand they use ballast, but we are in a high wind area.
Any thoughts/advice much appreciated.
