Floorboards

Noisy floorboards upstairs. I have noticed the floorboards have become noisy when walking on them, some are lifting, even make cracking noises when not walking on them. What trade do i need to check if anything is going on underneath? Do i need a joiner or a builder?

Actually, a joiner would be more appropriate than a builder, but why not DIY? (After all you are asking on a DIY site] Are these wooden floorboards, or is it a chipboard or plywood floor, is there laminate on the floor, and how old is the house?

PS You'd get more responses if you asked the mods to put this in something like the "Floors, Stairs and Lofts" section
