Flue liners - 904 vs 316, dura flue

Hello all

Currently have a flue liner installed that was previously used for a gas appliance. I was wondering if it can be used for a wood burner?

Is there anyway of testing for whether the current liner is 904 or 316 grade?

If I can't use it, then I will buy a new one.
Has anyone opinions on dura flue, as their name has come up a couple of times... although I had a sharp intake of breath, when I saw the prices.
 
Any time an appliance is replaced the associated flue line should also be replaced.
 
Even if you " can be sure the existing liner will last beyond the lifetime of the ne5e appliance", there would he been no reason to fit a SF liner to a gas appliance. Ergo, it wouldn't have been. Considering the extra cost
 
No, it'll be a gas liner and will need replacing. A liner should be replaced every time a new appliance is fitted anyway.

Duraflue is good stuff - its what I use professionally
 
I thought all the domestic gas flues were too small for solid fuels anyway.
