Fluidmaster washer

Hi do they sell washers for this fill valve? I believe it's a fluidmaster.

Normally it is just grit under the washer.

Do you twist and pull the top cap to remove it?

Turn off the water supply first, then lift the arm and turn 90 degrees and the top will come off.

Thanks the arm of the full valve seems abit different metal extending to the float.

Never bother changing washers on these. A new valve is only a few quid and you only need to replace the top part with no need to drain the cistern. 10 minutes including cuppa.

Yes. Turn off water. Lift the locking ring on the stem of the valve. Pull the valve upwards. Replace with new part.

There is a little spring clip which can slide up the metal rod to adjust the height of the float. On later ones it was replaced by a plastic screw adjuster.
