Hi,

I have a g2-20 panel installed and working fine until 2 nights ago, at about 4pm (14/11) 2 panic buttons leds started flickering red as if they had been pressed and the mk7 by the door has no display but the green led at the bottom is on, the panel is not in an alarm state or reporting any errors on the other keypads. could this be a RIO fail or could it be a power issue?

Kind Regards

Josh

(The panic buttons are CQR EPA-NG/PLUS/WH/G3)

I'd suspect power. Not sure of your config, but check the voltage at the devices. Disconnect the 12v batteries one at a time and see if the power comes up.

I have recently had to replace the AUX fuse so I was thinking power too (kind of hoping it is so I dont have a panel throwing a fit!) I'll test it tomorrow and post the results. on a side note would it be worth changing the RIO to a power RIO to alleviate these issues in the future? and with a power RIO I assume the 12v, 0v, A, and B all connect as normal it just supplies a boosted 12v output?

After testing the circuit I found that the DC rail was fluctuating rapidly between 5.11v and 6.72v after keypad 0 and before rio 2, replaced the cable and the system is back online and working as it was before.

Regards

Josh
