I am buying a house, but my car wouldn’t fit,so I am planing to extend in the front about 50cm,I still have about 2M to the front of the house,my question is if I am able to create like a porch and move the garrage door forward under permitted development?thanks.

Always best to check with your 'friendly' planning department! Also, look for a precedent. Has anyone else done it in your road? You'll be digging new footings for the front wall and using a lightweight lintel of some kind, so it's fairly technical in that respect. I think it'll certainly need to be checked by building regs, even if it falls under permitted development.

Alternatively, you could cover it all up with a tarp and secretly move the wall forward, or maybe just cut a car bonnet shaped hole in the door?

Good luck with your project!

I don't believe it is permitted development.

Extending the front elevation is not allowed, except for a porch which has some strict rules and that wouldn't cover this as you'd be moving the internal door, not adding a second one. (And I'm certain that only applies for pedestrian doors, not vehicle doors).

The technical guidance says any external doors and there's no mention of having to retain the existing doors, that's Building Regulations.
