Hi i got my clutch replaced recently.
Last night i pulled up outside my house.
I tried to reverse and suddenly i heard a noise and the gear stick went all floppy and wont select gears.
The clutch seems to be ok, i moved the car and this was underneath, can anyone tell me what it is.
Thanks.

I think it's the doobry that connects the stick to the whizzy bits!

For example...

What car do you have?

A floppy knob is never very good.
Get back in touch with the garage, looks like they have not put it back together correctly.

Pegueot partner 1.6 hdi diesel.
that happened to me about 6 months ago, same van and engine - I was about 40 mile from home, managed to get it into 3rd by pulling at connecting rods under bonnet and drove home in 3rd. (it took for ever and got a lot of horn blowing off other drivers at my 25 to 30 mph pace)

Thing they only charged me about £60 to fix it.

Thirty years ago, I repaired a similar one on a Leyland Sherpa and it held until it went in for its next service.

The same as that one, but not that one.
