The measure is possible as a result of Brexit which allows the UK to break away from EU rules

Ban the export of live animals and force the asylum seekers to use hazardous routes to claim asylum, risking their lives in freezing cold water, then forcibly relocate them to a country 1,000s of mile away.

I think some people have lost their sense of morality and humanity.

It wasn't all evil. Point is, we look at all those laws and WE decide which ones we are going to keep and which we will not. Us. The UK. Nobody else.

The point is we didn't take back control because we signed a deal that subjects NI to EU laws. A good example (from a brexxer standpoint) of no deal being better than a bad deal. If we used our new found sovereignty to hand it back under the Windsor framework, no reason not to have signed Teresa May’s much more sensible trade deal.

EU are already working towards it

Germany, currently a big exporter, has decided to restrict animal transports to non-EU countries by withdrawing veterinary certificates as of 1 July 2023. “To ensure that national restrictions are not circumvented, we urgently need better common rules in Europe,” a German minister said.

Other countries, Netherlands, Sweden Belgium and Denmark, have called for an EU ban on live animal export. Sweden is in charge of the EU Presidency during the first half-year of 2023.

EU didn’t have control over us.

UK had control of 99% of its finance, vast majority of its domestic law and U.K. parliament was unhindered.

Where EU had control, ie of common rules, U.K. were heavily involved in the decision making process.

Which specific law caused you a problem?

The ones that made fresh produce more difficult and expensive to get.

The ones that make it very awkward to take my dog abroad at the drop of a hat.

The ones that make it so difficult to take a van with tools on to Europe. So difficult I've stopped doing it.

Etc.

Can't think of any that have made anything easier or better for me.

I very much doubt the U.K. will rejoin as an EU member as we were…..we will have to deal with the damage from Brexit for decades

Rejoin won’t be a binary in / out - there won’t be a rejoin referendum.


What will happen is that the U.K. will rebuild a relationship with the EU by incrementally working towards dynamic alignment on trade and increase diplomatic relations politically.

And the flip side is a problem with transporting live animals for breeding.

I was totally ignorant pre Brexit, I reslised Brexit was a mistake after research. Unlike you and other brexers who still cling to the same lies you were told 8 years ago

It is you fault as you did the damage by voting brexit.

My brother voted brexit now that's effecting his retirement as he lives in a camper van travelling Europe and North Africa.

I voted Brexit. If I had the vote again. I d vote to stay. But I haven't got another vote, so I'd rather we get on with it without spreading negatives.

Surprised the climate activists in here are worried about livestock rules.
I would have thought you would be calling out for a mass slaughter due to harm caused to atmosphere by them.
