The old thread got locked last night and various posts were deleted. The final post which still remains is from @aveatry. It states:

Suddenly is dependant on perspective but yes in astronomical terms the earths precession on its axis is sudden and we are wobbling like webles wobble.

The main point, though, is that earth's axial precession cycle takes about 26,000 years, and runs a well understood and predictable course. The idea that there has been a significant change, out of the blue, in the last century, and that this can explain global warming, is nonsensical.

It is true there are numerous events which can alter climate, but if any of these happened over last 200 years we would know about them.

It’s just conspiracists playing whataboutery

These things have happened before.

We know about the earth wobbling.

None of the deniers can tie this in to the rate of change.

Off topic, squabbling and nonsensical posts are likely to be removed.

The wobbling tilt and any natural variations to the shape of Earth’s orbit can change the amount and distribution of sunlight reaching Earth. These small changes contribute to the planet’s larger temperature shifts over thousands to hundreds of thousands of years. This can, in turn, drive ice ages and periods of warmth..

So who is to say there hasnt been a minor change as in a couple of tenths of a degree also as other planets get closer and further away to earth this can also effect the axis and we are now entering a warmer period

And?

It ever changed things so fast previously ?

I say there hasn't and, as there hasn't been, any changes in temperature are attributable to this.

The wobbling tilt
This ource is about as noddy as this and other related aspects get.

The main message is that the various cycles take a rather long time to occur and can not explain current climate change. It's just happened far too quickly.

Yes, the science is settled on anthropogenic climate change.

Global warming is 100% man made and the earth has never seen an increase like it has done in the last 200 years or so which has been caused caused by extra C02 in the atmosphere. (y)
the earth has seen an increase just as rapidly in the past, but they are the result of events such as volcano or comets.

there arent any events in the last 200 years which can explain the rate of rise in temp other than Co2

if you think otherwise you are welcome to provide your evidence as long as is it backed up with a link which is a trusted source with transparent funding

I remember map reading and magnetic against true North. You had to add on about 6 to 7 degrees in the 70's. Now you aren't required to add anything to get true north. Quite a rate of change.
