Hi,

When running a bath this evening, the hot water went cold and when going to the boiler it was flashing red.

So when opening the pressure valve, water came out of another area of the boiler (see video) and did not make any difference to the situation.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to resolve this, or if I will need to call an engineer?

Many thanks

What do you mean by " when opening the pressure valve" ?
Can you post pics of what valve you refer to ?

The valve that's leaking is a rpz, basically a fancy non return valve that allowed glowworm to sidestep the water regs, it needs to be changed.

Thanks, Picasso.

I'll upload a few more pictures once I'm back home to be sure of the issue.

Also, about 2 months ago my husband had to bleed the air in a upright radiator in the bathroom. There was a lot of trapped air, which was only heating halfway. So put the boiler pressure from 1.0 to 0.7.

If it's the rpz, how much would I be looking to resolve this?

The filling loop kit is around £70 so that plus labour which is variable.

Please see the attached file to show what I am opening to try and raise the pressure in my boiler.

And thank you all for you all so far.
