Hello I have took it on upon myself to try and build a cabin bed for my daughter using plywood. I want to know can I glue a plywood headboard to plasterboard as it is on the wall where the stairs bulkhead is and I'm unsure if it's studded.

You'd be better off using a low expansion foam - the type sold for skirtings and as a replacement for dot and dab plasterboard work

Can’t understand why you would need to glue any part of a bed to a wall?

its bound to be studded (unless it is a stone wall) Try and find the screws that attach the plasterboard to the studs with a magnet - then you will know where the studs are and you can screw the plywood to them

Attach the headboard to the bed frame. If need be to steady the headboard, put a couple of screws through to the wall or a secret fixing such as a French cleat, but don't glue it to the wall.
