Glue and screw squeaky Victorian stair?

Was just thinking of putting some expanding Gorilla glue in the gaps then screwing upwards through the tread into the riser? (Ignore the wood filler: used to cover old wood worm holes)

Whatever helps.
But with old staircases you'll never get rid of the squeaks permanently.
Maybe for a few weeks, but some little noise will always come back.
