Google not displaying correctly

Normally when I do a search on Google I get the information down the left hand side, the bit on the following image where it says Search and everything beneath it like this:

Now I get this without the bit down the left hand side:

Its the same on Opera, Explorer and Firefox. Any suggestions fellow forumites?

top one search choice is "everything"
the bottom one search choice is "web"

dont know if thats relivant though

Just wondering if its something Google have done, mine is the same.Just tried Bing and that is the same.

After a bit of a search is it likely to be something to do with displaying the pages on tablet's? less is more?

I think you're right, its now along the top but no 'location' option. To change location you have to go into settings. I just like to see its searching the UK rather than relying on it remembering.

The search page has changed. Google are gradually unifying the appearance of all their products

Those settings are now horizontal along the top, and you need to click on the "Search tools" button to hide or display them.

Your location is also there (if you choose to allow Google to know) and search is tailored to your location
