Unpossible, Macs don't have malware!!!!

He's been quite lately, think he got a virus? ;)

Could be the over priced under powered hardware not able to keep up with a broadband connection. :!:

Nah, more likely his Macbook's battery swelled up and his supposed ten year warranty turned out not to exist. ;)

Could be! Though I think it might be his macbooks magsafe charger set fire to itself, as they occasionally do. He tried to call the fire service on his iPhone 4 to save it but he held it wrong and couldn't get a signal!

He tried to get advice on his i Pad. Sadly the only site that could give him the advice he was after used adobe flash so it wouldn't work.

There is no malware for Macs. Fact. The makers of prevention software will publish nonsense to try to encourage purchases but those of us in the know take no notice.

The sales of Macs are rocketing because the wisest amongst us know the facts.

PCs being ditched by the lorry load every day to end up in Third world Countries or the Factory in Cornwall to be stripped for the twenty one percent of Heavy Metal and poison content by the Natives.

PowerFlop Bites! Predictable!

There is malware for macs. Fact. Only makers of macs publish nonsense saying otherwise, but those of us with common sense take no notice.

There is no evidence that sales of macs and rocketing.

PCs in the lorry load are being ditched to be replaced with better models of PC, because PC users can do that having not been ripped off at point of purchase.

The apparent popularity of Mac's according to powerflop, certainly hasn't helped Steve Jobs has it??... Once he's gone though, Apple might realise that they have to embrace other software suppliers, and develop the Mac so it's compatible with the more popular forms of software. They might consider allowing the i Pad to embrace Adobe Flash. Heck , you may even be allowed soft porn apps on the i phone.

What's the betting though that Apple keep up the good work, claiming that Mac's don't suffer from viruses/malware etc?? (even though people on Mac forums freely admit, it is a problem?)

Powertw@t ,,, take off those rose tinted glasses and get yourself down to Specsavers for a new pair. Eventually, Mac's will suffer viruses and malware to the same extent that the most popular computers do. The only reason they don't at the moment is because of the limited amount of Mac's connected to the internet (less than 5% compared to PC's)

Still, a deaf and blind man won't accept this as fact though,,,,,, (over to you powerflop)

Just gone into Windows 7 via Parallels. First ten Mins. spent by Kaspersky updating security.

Never get any of that nonsense on a Mac which is so much superior and malware free

There's none so blind as those who cannot see. Most of the members of this Forum have benefited vastly from my superior knowledge.

And whose fault is that for installing Kaspersky?

Never get any of that nonsense on a Mac which is so much superior and malware free

Only because you choose not to be aware of the truth.

There's none so blind as those who cannot see.

You're very, very blind then.

Just another opinion without any rudeness

Thanks PowerFlop so general consensus is windows machines are cheaper and run better than macs. Finally.

Why have you bought a mac and windows as well??? Confused! Admit it you can't be without windows can you.

The reason I went into Windows is because we have a mix of platforms inc Linux working here and as often happens one of the MS boxes 'crashed' and the always reliable Mac available that has Windows crap on it had to be used.

All publicity is good publicity.
