Granite / Quartz Kitchen Worktop Fitters, Measuring / Template and Installation.

Hi Guys,

I am just wondering if anyone out there knows of any Granite or Quartz Kitchen Worktop Fitters in the area.

Due to personal health issues, the majority of my kitchen refurb budget was spent on my health costs treatment. I still have some funds left, though, not enough for the worktops to buy from the UK. I have settled for buying and importing from abroad to keep costs at low using a logistics sea freight company whom the director is my friend.

My mother and I would like to stick to our original planning of buying Granite or Quartz. Though, before finalising our order we would like someone to measure/template our kitchen before ordering the worktop. That way accurate measurements and templating can be sent. I do have my kitchen plan too.

In addition to this, I would like the worktop to then be installed in our home. Cut/Amending worktop on site preferable (Should it be needed).

Hope there is someone out there who knows of anyone that measures and fits, or can do this themselves.

If you're low on funds, you could have an attractive and durable laminate fitted with ease.

If your position improves later, it is not at all difficult to take it off and replace (bear this in mind when fitting tiles or upstands)

Importing a made-to-measure granite worktop would not appeal to me, nor would squabbling over responsibility for any damage or poor fit.

Hertfordshire area. @JohnD unfortunately not as we would like granite. importing including shipping knocks of 50% of the average uk purchase price for my kitchen size. 90usd dollars per meter. Though thank you for your response

Hi Foxhole, yes the kitchen is fully fitted appliances etc. base and wall units etc.. all finished just the worktop left.

The templating and cutting is normally done by the supplier, you will have great difficulty getting the sevice away from the supplier.

already found a trader, stonemason warehouse who can do this for me. good price too. happy days. thanks anyway.
