Great tip if UPVC window-handle locks shut when window is open

upvc window locked shut - Google Search as seen in this video link. It happened to me earlier in 30 C summer heat.

Kitchen window was open, couldn't close it, (the pins were catching as per usual in hot weather) but this time even swivelling the handle from left to right just could not get it in to shut it. Worse, as i was swivelling the handle and faffing around with the key the handle locked. So it was a locked handle and it wasn't shutting.

You have to get a plastic card like a credit card and poke it into the top to release a latch apparently. I managed it anyway.

Yeah the actually catch to the lock is only a piece of plastic ... window handle locks really aren't very complicated lol, unlike some actual window locks
