Hi,

Just wondered what do tilers do with internal corners, do you grout them and silicone, I was thinking it’s best to not grout them and just silicone them. Assume it must give a better seal as it can get into the gap rather than sitting on top of the grout?

Any advice appreciated

Many thanks

I do as above.

It gives you a smooth surface to silicone against.

It would be difficult to grout the horizontal lines without getting some in the vertical corner.

I always silicone internal corners. The joint tends to move over time/through the seasons and the silicone absorbs a small amount of movement. Grout probably looks better when the job is first done but it can crack over time. Its a personal preference thing. I find that the corners of upstairs rooms tend to crack more than ground floor rooms, especially if the internal walls are studwork.
