I need to put a hole through the external wall for a kitchen extractor and there's already a couple of other holes in the vicinity. I can't find any regs or official guidance for how large a hole you can make and how far they should be from other holes, openings etc. Is anyone here aware of anything?

Thank you

I dont there this any specific rules -is it brickwork outside and blockwork inside?

if you are thinking of say 3 x 100mm holes all more than say about 200mm apart -I cant see any problem.

If you are just talking about a domestic type fan 100mm Dia there's no regs applicable.

Nosey own shares in TATA and like to put an 8x4 above all vents.
To be fair there are some massive commercial fans out there, we have one in our domestic garage, sucks the doors shut! But we spray/weld/grind a lot of stuff in there. We wedge a door slightly, open turn on fan, fumes gone in seconds.

One of the consequences of mixing in a plastic tub, along with Fairy is that you need much less wate
Not sure what the point of this comment is? Are you suggesting steelwork may be required?
DON'T DRILL BENEATH STEEL OR LINTEL BEARINGS!
