Hi, I'd really appreciate some advice on the suitability of a gas fire we're looking at.
We have a pre-cast flue, with a conventional looking mains gas fire. currently inset. This limits our choices due to the depth and means modern looking hole in the wall fires are not suitable.
We looked at flueless fires but put off by safety concerns. Then found the flavel curve http://www.flavelfires.co.uk/products/flavel-curve-gas-fire which seems to meet our needs.
Unfortunately one supplier has told us that the fire wouldn't fit as it would mean disrupting the starter bricks, potentially causing flue collapse. Before we dismiss the flavel curve i'd appreciate others opinions on this matter.
Any advice would be gratefully received!
