Hard gear shifts

Hi all.

Vauxhall Zafira with hard gear shifts.
The oil has not been changed but before changing it I want to know if its oil related or not.
Sometimes the gear shifts are easy and sometimes they get hard to shift. It depends on the weather sometimes aswell

Can someone advise please?

2009 model.
Yeah i dont think its oil as how does the problem fix itself? If it was oil related it would be permanent hard shifting.

External linkage replacement kits are available and they are prone to seizure......do have a look at eBay for examples!

There used to a be a problem on the Vectra, where gear shifting (I take it this is a manual?) was OK cold, and got progressively harder as the engine warmed up. The solution was to put about half a litre more oil n the gearbox than it should have! (I don't know whether the Zafira has the same box, though).
