Help! Concealed Shower

Hi all,

I am fitting a concealed shower and I am struggling with what to connect into the mixer with. It has female 1/2" but when I've tried Male 1/2" they are not at the right angle for me to plumb the hot and cold feed??

Any help would be great!

A photo might help to understand what the problem is.

When you say "not the right angle" do you mean the mixer won't fit square to the wall or is the spacing between the tails the issue?

A photo of parts you’re struggling with would be great! Also what brand of shower? Are you using the correct fittings?

Ignore the blue stuff. But a fitting to go inside this.

And you've tried a 1/2" BSP male iron? - what happens?

I used an angled one and I would not have been able to connect the feeds. I'm guessing a straight like in the picture I've attached is the connector to use?

Yes I've tried this and j would not have been able to get it at the angle needed

If you can use that one, then yes. All depends on where your feeds are coming from, and space etc.

Yes - straight male iron and then whatever fittings you need to connect to the supply pipework.

Use Loctite 55 on the threads

I could do with the angled ones from the toolstation link as my feeds come up, but I cannot get them to point down to the feeds and tight? Thanks for the help guys!

If you use Loctite 55 then there is a lot more flexibility in getting the irons to line up - if done properly then 55 allows you to back the fitting off slightly

Im not sure what angle you need, but as @NotSoNewboy said, Loctite 55 thread, should be able to achieve what you need.

Failing any help, try here to see if any better?

Alternatively, 1/2" male then a street elbow (Copper) into the iron will get you pointing in the right direction

Sorry, this shower has stressed me out.
I need them to come out and 90° angle down to face the floor as attached, but when I hand tighten them on they are facing up, not sure if the loctite 55 will change this as I will still need to tighten the connection?
