Help how to remove lever From Kitchen Tap

Hi,

Im trying to fix a drip on my dripping kitchen tap and I have fallen at the first hurdle.

I can’t see my tap on any YouTube video.

Once I open the cap and unscrew the screw, neither lever comes off.

I’ve tried a bit of force and it does nothing and I’m scared to break it. Can anyone help please?

Buy a new tap, it will be cheaper in the long run.

I’m sure it will, but in the meantime how should I get to the cartridge?

I’ve tried a bit of force

Perhaps try some boiling water on it. You have removed the screw so just needs more force.

Pour boiling water on the tap handles and then use a flat headed screwdriver to lever the ends off.
