Hi all,
I have a shower bar which i am finding is getting quite stiff to turn the left hand knob which turns the shower on (up for rainfall, down for hose). The right hand knob that controls the temperature moves freely although the little knob that you push down to reach the higher temperatures is currently stuck down.
I live in a hard water area so suspect that it's the limescale causing the issue, and that this might need a new cartridge (or possibly just may as well install a new bar), but I wanted to try and clean up what I can in the first instance.
On the underside of each knob is a little plug with a small Alan key screw underneath. If I unscrew these, will this allow me to remove the remove the knobs? Or are these more important and will send water spraying everywhere?
I can't see any manufacturer details on the shower bar anywhere so I just want to make sure before I start unscrewing stuff.
Many thanks
