I've a chorded, keyless-chuck power drill that is stuck closed, with drill bit attached.
I am able to 'lock' the armature from turning ok, using the lock-button on the top but, the hand-grip itself simply turns whilst not opening the jaws. There is friction to the turn and a slight clicking sound but try as I might, the jaws do not open.
Any ideas?
I've tried clobbering it with a hammer; I've tried mole-grips to the armature end and a clamp to the drill but as I am unsure if this is correct, have not forced this too much.
I'm kinda stuck. Any help or ideas appreciated.
Cheers
