Need help with this one. My elderly parents keep their walkers in their garage which has a Henderson Electric Roller door. It's gone wrong and they can't now get their walkers in and out their selves.
They have been telling me the door has been playing up for weeks getting stuck open etc but I have never seen it happen until today.
The door was working fine then I could hear the motor buzzing/stalled. I wound it up by hand and pressed the button again, it closed ok but then wouldn't open. Occasionally it will go up and down a few inches but always defaults to close. Taking the lid off the controller I can see the LEDs. Winding the door up and then setting it going it will close, even if I break the reflective safety beam it switches to open (led changes to open) but still travels down!
Do I need a new motor(the only label on the motor I can see is 20/m) if so any ideas what I need? Everything is very tightly packed around the door and a lot is rivetted together. I don't want to take it apart to find I need a part and get stuck. Also where can I find instructions?
