HIGNFY and Mock the Week

HIGNFY is consistent with its anti government pi*s take, and other parties. Mock the Week passed its peak years before it was taken off air.

HIGNFY lost its shine about 20 years ago when I was in the audience and realised exactly how much was scripted

It’s headed down south ever since and I stopped watching it over 10 years ago

Satire was never the same after Not The Nine O'clock News finished. TV is a satire and comedy desert these days. Dire!

Not Going Out is only comedy these days worth a look. Or repeats of 70s and 80s stuff.

I would like to see a massive reduction in the role of politicians running the country. We’d be fine with half as many. We’d be more productive too.

I like to bring balance to the dozens of posts where everything is due to Brexit and the government. Get your head out of the p*** and bile spouted by the socialists on here and look around.

I run a multi national business function. The U.K. is doing great.

Matt Chorley does a half decent job in the Times and further proof that right wangers can do satire is this effort by mot or bi king.

The best investment I made back in the day was dvd box sets of fools and horses , the office Fawlty towers etc, you have to pay to see a lot of that stuff now

To be really funny, comedians need to be unafraid to offend. Hence there are very few funny lefties, because their comedy always goes through a woke filter and comes out anodine, humourless and often just left-wing propaganda dressed up. Right wingers can, and are expected to, give it both barrels - taking no prisoners. For that reason, Bernard Manning was the funniest man alive. The fact that he was hated and misunderstood by those on the left just burnishes his credentials (oooh, missus) even more.

Real, time-served comedians of Bernard's ilk are truly missed. Mike Reid and Jimmy Jones were another two.
