Hive Help please RWB7, SCR, RF3

Hi sorry i’m new here but saw some
Great advice. I have a new Hive system but I'm struggling to install, trying to replace an RWB7 (pic 1 and 2) with my Hive controller which is located on first floor but also have an SCR wireless receiver (pic 3 and 4) in garage (floor below) and an RF3 (pic5). Pic 6 is of the electrics box, the main wire on the bottom left is coming from the SCR. So i can easily replace the RWB7 with the Hive unit but then im a bit stuck, it seems the RWB7 controls the Hot water and the RF3 and SCR control the heating... how do i remove the RF3 but enable the hive to function with both heating and hot water? Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have the Hive dual channel? This will need to be installed at your wiring center for ease.

The wiring from the rwb7 will be connected in the wiring center:

Trace the wiring back from rwb7 to here and connect the corresponding wires to the Hive.

Hi thanks for the quick response, yes i have the dual channel. So if i trace back and connect the same wires as per the rwb7 what additional wires do i need? Do i also need to connect the yellow single wire going to the SCR in line 3 to the line 3 of the Hive? Is there anything else needed?

Hi, sorry had loads of replies, completely forgot about yours . The SCR is your heating, so the wire would go to 4 on Hive (heating on/Normally open). The wiring from rwb7 you only need the hot water on wire, (yellow as well). Nothing else should be needed.

@Chris_W Really appreciate the reply thank you, so where the SCR is i move the yellow wire to 4 and then the yellow wire from the rwb7 in to 3. Do i still need the red wire loop thats currently in SCR or is that removed so its just the N, L, 3 & 4 ? Thanks

No loop isn’t required because it’s linked internally. So yes just L,N, Heating On, Hot water on - simples.
