Hi
I have just installed 7 hive trvs in my study and kitchen/diner. They are fully calibrated and I have a hive thermostat. I have grouped three trvs together as 'kitchen valves"
They are set to heat on demand. There are still 3 downstairs rads that don't have hive trvs.
I get that the hive trvs will demand heat from the thermostat to reach its set temperature and as a consequence the non hive trvs will also get heat, that's not a problem.
However even when my kitchen hive trvs have reached their set temp they are boosting the thermostat to get it to also reach the kitchen hive trvs temperature. ie...
Kitchen hive trvs set to 22 degs
Thermostat set to 20 degrees.
When kitchen hive trv reaches 22 degrees it switches itself off but is still boosting the thermostat to get it to reach 22 degrees as well.
I don't understand this. Is it meant to do this??
