Hive wiring

Currently about to set up hive active heating with a combi boiler so bought the single channel receiver.
Already have a wireless receiver in place which I am to replace however unsure of the wiring was wondering if I could get some help.
Have posted pics of current setup and the hive setup that is required my question is where do each of the wires go on the hive backplate

Wire in BDR N to Hive N
Wire in BDR L to Hive L
Wire in BDR A to Hive 1 Common
Wire in BDR B to Hive 3 Heating on

There shouldn't be so much copper sticking out of the terminals as there is now in terminals A & B, there's the possibility of a short circuit.

Have wired up as stated however the heating will not come on at all even when I try and boost it from the hive reciever any ideas?

Have read I'm places I need a link wire between the live and common is this correct?

Some do but not as yours is wired. Your boiler may have 24v control circuits and you may cause it damage of you make a link between 230V and 24v

I take it you have the correct version of Hive as per your first post. The single channel version, and not the dual channel. They are wired differently.

If your boiler has integral time control it should be set to be permanently 'on' 24/7, otherwise it will interfere with the operation of the Hive.

Thanks realised that myself earlier today and thought better not try, had a look at it about half an hour ago and I hadn't put the front plate on the receiver properly one of the contacts mustn't have been in properly, am up and running now so the other half is happy haha no more cold house nice and toasty now thanks for all your help!!

I have a manual type of clock timer on the front of the boiler with the wiring as shown

You leave that clock in boiler and turned on 24hrs. the hive would wire into the terminal strip on the boiler with the wee red link in it. That’s says external controls or room stat.

Or if it is easier for you L&N in 1&2 on your boiler timer to L&N on hive and the two black wires in 3&4 in boiler timer to 1&3 in hive receiver (either way round doesnt matter,) then boiler timer is completely disabled

That is the link that @shambolic refers to , you will still need a L&N for the hive

Yes

Clip your pcb back in properly in the right hand side.
Don’t try and wire it at timer as it’s a faff. Do it at red link wire and just leave timer at 1 on all the time.
