Hi

First time poster here after some advice.

I’ve noticed the hopper is overflowing when there is a high flow rate. The pipe going into is from the bathroom basin. At a low flow rate it is fine however at a fast rate, the water flows/spills over the side of the hopper.

What is the best way of resolving this?

Can I simply replace the pipe with a longer one so it guides the water more into the hopper? If so, will it just be simply a case of popping the old one out of the connection and push in a replacement?

Apologies if this is a daft question however it’s not something I’ve ever had to deal with before.

Thanks in advance

Make sure the downpipe isn't partially blocked. If that's ok, adjust the waste pipe ( possibly by adding an elbow) to direct the flow downward towards the hopper outlet/ downpipe. the
