hotmail hack, what else to check on my PC??

ok, my hotmail has been used by some scrote to spam from my contacts, password changed, trusted PC was already set up, but still managed it.

Just running a virus scan and malwarebytes scan to check my machine, anything else I need to do.

hotmail; help is carp, apparently its my fault, either putting my password into a phishing page (Hmm, no....) or amy PC has a virus, hmmm, not convinced, but the scans should tell.

anything else I should check before going back to things like online banking??

your addressbook. Warn people they may have been harvested.

don't delay in notifying your banks and credit cards. every minute counts. Phone them - number on the card - as your pc may not be secure.

set up your new email account. Get better internet security (your old one obviously isn't good enough)

change all your passwords and security questions

ebay and paypal.

test all serice ports if it comes bock clean you are good to go

also download malwarebytes here

install, update and run a full scan.

then if it finds anything remove all.
