Hi,
I have a Hotpoint dwl-dea 701-b - it's approximately 3.5 years old.
Recently the tap / water flow error light has been coming on intermittently. In the past 2 days the dishwasher has become dysfunctional, and the drain is refusing to work correctly.
1. Starting point for debugging is dishwasher drain is full of water.
2. I put dishwater on a programme, drain is pumped empty. Water starts to flow into the machine.
3. Within 2 minutes of any cycle, error light comes on.
Opening the door at this stage reveals that the drain has refilled and not been pumped empty again, to the point where it is overflowing.
Opening between 1 and 2, I can confirm that the drain has emptied.
Through the above and numerous other checks, I can confirm that the dishwasher can both receive water and pump the drain empty.
So my question is, what else could be causing this issue? It seems like the programmes have forgotten a step. Faulty board? Is there a way to reset?
Cheers
Ben
