Round here they're noticeably bad.

"Three years ago Rishi Sunak confirmed Britain’s growing obsession with its pockmarked roads with a promise to fill in 50mn holes. “Enjoy National Pothole Day before they’re all gone,” the then-chancellor declared.

Our street is being completely redone between. 8.30pm on the 24th and 6.00am on the 25th. Overnight jobbie. The 'no parking' signs went up today.

Same as the NHS, chucking money isn't the solution. Holding these companies responsible for the repair work they do. Make them guarantee their work.
Our government seem to chuck money around but don't seem to monitor where it goes.
