I would really appreciate opinions on this. I'm considering buying an end terrace house but the state of the render, or the potential expense of replacing it, is putting me off.
The render is fully intact and feels quite solid to touch, but when tapped it seems hollow in places so I presume it's losing it's adhesion to the brickwork. It's also discolored in places and has hairline fractures.
How long would you anticipate could I soldier this render on for if I were to paint it regularly (maybe annually)?
Or is there a product I could treat it with to make it last longer?
I really don't have the funds to get it all replaced at the moment. Many thanks in advance for any responses.
