Someone smashed into the passenger side mirror leaving the housing broken but all pieces left trapped by the insides. The mirror itself is unbroken and the electrics all work OK.

Can anyone recommend a suitable adhesive to bond the housing back together please?

Mirror shells are very thin plastic....if you can get to the back of it, hot glue with a wide fillet works well enough.
Motor factors do stock a good variety of these at a fraction of main dealer prices, but they will need painting.

Many mirror housings were made of A.B.S. If this is the case they can be glued using acetone which will weld the bits together. You may be able to find the plastic identifier moulded onside a triangle somewhere on the component;

Don't waste your time & money. Glue will only last for so long then fall apart.. and it will look awful. Either buy a new cover and get it painted or find a used part in the same colour as your car
