How does a pitched roof sit on a Parapet wall ?

The roof is planned to be a pitched gable side to side.
Parapets are need because we are building right on the boundary.
What's the best way to sit the roof ?
Straps ?
A beam bolted to the wall ?

The same way a pitched roof sits on any wall. Then you build around it, is one way. As thre drawing is another.

Btw, you don't need a parapet just because the wall is on the boundary. What you need is a designer with a clue.
