Is there any restriction on the number of alarm boxes allowed on a domestic property? The neighbour on one side has just had a new system installed, he has a double garage with a room over it, the side is about 8 feet from my house. He has had 5 boxes installed, one on the front of his house, one on the back, 3 on this garage, one on the front facing the road, one on the side at the top of the wall which is about 15 feet high and the last one on the rear wall of the garage. Both of the side and rear ones are about 8 feet away from my property. The are all live according to the neighbour so if the alarms ever go off I am a bit concerned that the noise will be intrusive. I don't know why he had so many fitted, a bit of an overkill in my opinion. Is he allowed to put them so close to my house?

He could put them right on the boundary line if he wanted. Come on, they’re only going to go off if he's burgled - is he that bad a neighbour that you wouldn’t want to hear anything if he is being burgled.
His old system used to get false alarms, usually when he was on holiday and we would have to ring his parents who lived a good distance away to come and reset it. He is a good neighbour and I, and other neighbours would check his property when the alarms went off. I just thought 5 boxes in total was a bit of an overkill really. One on the front of his house and one on the back should be enough I felt that's all. Just hope he does not get any false alarms with this system. Thanks for your comments.
Probably dummy boxes ….
If they are hard wired the system will probably fall over when activated due to current draw unless they have extra psus.
If it does go off and they are all live then report to the council who can go in turn them off and charge the neighbour for the work done.
That’s assuming it’s a false alarm.
The reality is until is causing a Nuisance little you can do.
That said if it looks out of place with the neighbourhood the council may be able to do something but you would have to raise a complaint on the first instance.
