How to build flush cupboard/closet doors

Hi

After a bit of guidance.... I'm looking to build a large cupboard in an alcove of a room.

I want it, ideally, to look as flush as possible with the wall as I want it hidden from the eye as best I could

I saw this image which is identical to what I was after but was struggling to find plans that didn't involve the doors sitting proud. Is it just a case of setting the fram further back? Or do I need to do something special

I am no expert, but there are hinges designed for flush doors, although “ordinary” hinges will do

you can have handles, or push to pop out (not the correct term) so that the panel is completey smooth.

i will bet there is a YouTube video or two.

They are just standard overlay doors.

the only difference is the cornice and skirting are set forward so you can’t see the door sitting in front of the carcase.

So you just build the carcass inset behind the wall the same thickness of the door, the door then bridges the gap between carcass and wall?
